Cartomancy
Review
As Golanv Circle reviews the Animal Allies of their respective Medicine Wheels and Yona Circle reviews its Streams of Consciousness, we in Wahya Circle, First Degree w ill review one of our tools of divine insight and Intuition, tarot. Before we move on with spreads and exploring our cards, we are asked to review where we have been and compare these meanings to the deck we are being called to at this time on our Journey.
What do you see when you look at the card versus the written meanings? What do you feel in regards to the card relative to a general meaning?
PURPOSE
To fine tune our ability to read the message that may be coming through our tarot or oracle cards with ease and clarity. Quickness and INtuitive accuracy.
GOAL
By regular practice of divination through cartomancy, we will improve our ability to glean valuable meanings from our cards through both the creator’s art and our personal Intuition.
MAJOR AND MINOR ARCANA
These two will be combined as they share numbers. We will find Major Arcana cards located with the number of cards they numerically break down to. (This will not necessarily follow all numerology “rules”.)
I - 1 ACES: I The Magician; X Wheel of Fortune; XIX The Sun
II - 2 TWOS: II High Priestess; XI Justice: XX Judgement
III - 3 THREES: III The Empress; XII The Hanged Man; XXI The World
IV - 4 FOURS: IV The Emperor; XIII Death
V - 5 FIVES: V The Hierophant; XIV Temperance
VI - 6 SIXES: VI The Lovers; XV The Devil
VII - 7 SEVENS: VII The Chariot; XVI The Tower
VIII - 8 EIGHTS: VIII Strength; XVII The Star
IX - 9 NINES: IX The Hermit; XVIII The Moon
These are by no means the “be all, end all” of meanings and interpretations… but they can be a good start, or a small expansion of what we already know. There are as many interpretations as their are Paths walked. Take your time, review, next Lessons will begin a few different types of card draws.
