Introduction to Monad
and Ennead Theory

Continuing our look at numerology, we go back to Pythagoras. It is said, often the music of the Universe is heard by the Pythagoreans with number 9 as their Key. “In the Key of 9” While we do not proselytize for any theory or belief, we do ask you to examine these theories. Do they apply to anything you practice? Can they be applied to other practices?

According to Pythagoras, this is the path through which all things, energy, must pass. Hence, the numbers that make up that numerology also make up an ennead.

An ENNEAD is defined as a “group set of 9”.

For the Paths that follow this concept, the number also equals the numbers of pieces – Monads - that the Divine Goddess, Spirit, Divine separated into, whether from a Divine or from Herself in order to cross planes and become Life, or ‘living’, returning to Matter to reunite with the Divine God. Manifest. Or, become “whole” again.

ANOTHER’S VIEW
Please know, this is a deep study that we will barely scratch the surface of but feel it essential for you to have a little knowledge of. For Reverend Richoz, the belief is that a Divine Oneness, or Universal Energy, became divided into its many facets of Life as it crossed into its Awareness or Consciousness of Manifestation on this plane. Manifest and Unmanifest. Matter and Spirit.

Yes, she even believes in “partial manifest”, where Spirit did not fully manifest into Matter. Or, from this angle of Matter manifested, “not realizing one’s Truth”, “inhibiting one’s fullest and most beneficial manifestation of Self by not accepting an aspect of Self.”

Remember, we are WHOLE beings… but not everyone who is on this place accepts all of Self.

BEGINNING MONADS
As we begin, let us understand that 0 is not used on its own in numerology.
1 + 0 = 1 or 1 + 0 + 6 = 7.
Zero simply means “unmanifest”.

0 is known on some Paths as the Primordial Deity, or God, or Goddess. It is the Divine “potential’ and “possibility” to manifest for and of all things. It is the Spirit, the “breath of life” in all things. Once manifested, the 0 becomes 1.

For others, such as those who walk a Path aligned with Technomancy, “0” is “off”. A state of energetic readiness to Manifest.

MONADIC DEFINITIONS
Further correlation of this concept and theory will reveal itself as you begin to study more of Streams of Consciousness. Those who “swim” in each Stream will often manifest some of the traits described for that Stream, being more or less evolved as a Spirit/Soul, ESPECIALLY if they do not do regular Shadow or Ego Work on this plane and this dimension. It also depends on what Experience they are “supposed to” have in some beliefs. What are yours?

These are definitions and some “negative’ traits that must be overcome at each level:

1 Monad
Creation; Manifestation
Egotistic; Opinionated

2 Dyad
Duality; Spirit and Matter
Passive; Difficulty starting

3 Triad
Ensouled (Path specific); Spirit within Matter
Shallow; Takes things for granted.

4 Tetrad
Elemental (Planetary Magick) ; Life building blocks — “Sees glass half empty”, “All walls, no doors”, has difficulty seeing opportunities when presented

5 Pentad
Conscious Journey of Soul through the world created by Elements.
Overextends Self.

6 Heptad
Harmony; Balance; Smooth part of Life; Physical joy
Unable to see other points of view easily. To Reverend Rihcoz, this is where she says it becomes “difficult to unsee what you have seen or Experienced sometimes. Once you see a pattern, and you begin to see it again and again in others. A MAJOR Ego Work must take place to allow the Other to continue on their Path without your Conscious or Unconscious interference.”

7 Septad
Ascension; Desire to learn more; Spiritual seeking
Prickly; Easily ruffled; Difficulty giving others the same freedoms they crave or partake in.

8 Ogdoad
Understanding of the Universe and Unconditional Love; (Some Paths believe this is where karma and karmic debt are formed) Able to see below the surface of all things
Rigid or rigid appearance; Finds it very difficult to deviate from established Path.

9 Ennead
Furthest understanding of creation; Enlightenment or Union with Deity
Spirituality; Humanitarian; concerned with others and place in Universe; Optimistic; Open; Trusting
Forgets its own needs.

To quantify what you have just read, attached is a trusted link for one of the more accurate ennead — which relates —tests we have seen. Take it when you have a moment. ANSWER HONESTLY. Answering honestly will allow you to see the parts of Divinity you have acquired.

Just as the “hand” of natal astrology you were dealt to play at the Table of Life, you also have this tool to help you see further into aspects of yourself where you may have Shadow, Ego, or just a part of Divinity to understand or heal as you evolve on the Spiritual Journey of the Soul. This can also reveal Family Shadow, Cultural/Community Shadow, as well as Global/Terran Shadow.

Counting Down to Meditation

This is a Meditation that is similar to the one in use with Temple of WitchCraft, Cabot Kent Hermetic Temple, and many others. A Wiccan Path, yes, but efficient and beneficial to those who utilize the tool, so we share it with you to explore.

PURPOSE
It is only slightly modified here. Most Practitioners understand the importance of being able to drop to a meditative state and the ability of keeping the Mind’s Eye sharply Focused. Competing exercises such as this will strengthen the Meditative Muscle.

Go to your meditative spot, go into your quiet space. Once there, go into your meditative mind, or stillness as you practice.

Give yourself as much time as you need before you focus down into Alpha State with this exercise.

Once you are ready, begin.

TO BEGIN
Visualize a giant screen before you, liken to a blackboard or theater movie screen.

On that screen, you are asked to visualize a countdown of numbers 12 to 1.

Numbers can be any shape. Any color. Any style. Written out in your Mind’s Eye, or Imagination, as you go, or appearing as a whole number. 

As we count down, the number will erase, or disappear as you See fit and change to the next number. (See this in your Mind’s Eye as you read it. It will help you see it when you lead your Self into the “countdown” late.)

BEGIN COUNTING
Visualize the number 12 on your screen.

You are now in your meditative state, or “should be” at this level of energy work. Everything done in this meditative state is done for your personal benefit, whether Healing or Spirit or Self.

Again we will count down to an even deeper state from here.

Let the numbers now take you further down. Do not see them on the screen, feel them taking you deeper. Singing. Humming. Buzzing. Pulling you gently down into a state of being with Self.

This time we begin the count with 13, using the same visualization in our Mind’s Eye.
…    12     11     10     9       8       7       6       5       4          3       2       1.

You are, “or should”, now be in your deepest meditative mindset. Your magickal mindset… and you have full control of it.

We are going to HEAL OUR SELF.

HEALING
Reaching your hands above your head, you envision a ball of energy. For some Paths, this is where the “external energy points” reside. ​​This includes the seven major chakras, or energy points, that many work with and adds an additional 5 (or 6) outer chakra/energy points for the transpersonal and subpersonal connections we have with other realms. (Beyond the third dimension.)

**These new chakras exist outside the body and represent our interconnectedness with higher spiritual realms.

You are grabbing this energy and slowly pressing it down it the manifested parts of Self in Matter.

PUSHING ENERGY THROUGH
With your hand raised above your head, envision this energy how you will in your Minds Eye. Begin pushing that energy down through your head. Throat. Heart, clearing the torso. Down you push the energy through your pelvis, lap, legs, feet … push this energy and give the energy back to Mother Earth, or the Cosmos, or where ever you like to pull Healing Energy. In giving the energy “to” any other, we ask to transmute or clean the energy to return to us. For maximum Self benefit, Reverend Richoz calls all energies back to her after they have been cleansed or transmuted to her highest benefit for her continued Healing.

The energy in its “non-healed” state does not serve you and you have just cleared yourself of that excess energy.

While it is outside of you and being Healed or cleansed, say or things words along the lines of:

“I am balance. I am balanced with the Universe. I release that which no longer serves me.”

Take a moment to take note of how you feel. After a time, begin to take yourself back up from the deepest meditation by counting in the opposite direction.

See the numbers appear on your screen in “reverse” as you carry your Self back up to a fully manifested state of Matter. Mean what you say and you say it. Fill your count or your words with Intent. (You can leave pieces of Self in Healing Meditations that are not energetically called back and received from your Source. Like glitter, you can leave pieces of your Self in the astral, with Source, etc.

SEE THE NUMBERS AGAIN

Once you feel that you are “fully back” or have returned all your energy to its rightful or correct place, begin wiggling your fingers. Toes. Hands. Feet.

Gradually waking your entire body. Sit for a moment and ground any rogue energy. You can stay in the deeper meditation or you may come all the way back out.

Do this meditation as often as you need to “Heal Self”.
