Beginning Energy Work
Element Water
This “time of the Sun” and “masculine energy” is always an ideal time to perform this Lesson. But, it can be performed during any moon phase, some obviously being more effective towards emotional influence than others. Right now it is more productive to be in balance of the energies currently found in the solar neighborhood, cooling them off, or putting them out, to be exact. Especially if you are feeling emotionally overwhelmed by this solar energy as we are tilting near our peak towards our Star Sol.
If you cannot find a way to perform this during moon phases that fall within a Water sign —to Experience its maximum energetic strengths, wait, or perform it again during that phase and FEEL the differences. The specificity of how you feel during this is considered a “baseline” for how Element Water can effect you personally.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this exercise is to enhance your ENERGETIC connectivity to Water. Elemental Water, etc. This will also aid in the FLOW of Energy in moments of need as we are MOSTLY Water as human mammals. Water is the Element of Emotion, this activity can help you feel that.
WATER SIGNS
As we know, next to Cancer, Scorpio is highly emotional. It also has to do with Intuition. Hence, Water signs have Water’s properties, not the other way around. We are always ruled by our Elemental energies FIRST. Remember, long ago, there was no calendar, but there were Elements.
The water signs are often closer to their emotions, so letting out tension in tears is a go-to for those aligned with Water. Those born under Water Signs often approach obstacles seemingly sideways—like a crab—but with the help of continued Shadow Work, a good support system, any challenge can be overcome.
OBSERVATIONS
Water takes on the shape of whatever container, or situation, it is placed into IF it is the “path of least resistance”. More often than not, many of us call upon Element Water to help us with our magickal workings. The primary ways we unite with the Water inside of us is through dream-work. We can also Experience the effect of Element Water through our emotional reactions, Self care, relationships, Shadow Work and our Intuition. Water is sensitive, intense and deep, sometimes a depth we cannot know in our human, or Matter form.
The intelligence, or Element, OR Energy, is sometimes called “Undine” or “of the merfolk” on some Paths. It is easier to remember that way for many. It is a passive energy, so typically it does not respond to aggressive magick without a LOT of you personal energy going in to a Work.
Element Water has a charge that is negative. That means it wants to SHARE its energy both literally and figuratively, as well as within its magick.
Water’s alchemic symbol is a downward pointing triangle without a line.
With the exercise outlined below, we will connect with Element Water energy.
Beginning Practicum
Element Water (Energy)
“I vibrate with Element Water, so that I may know its Energy.”
TO BEGIN
Once the moon has risen for you (OR anytime you set aside to do this) find a comfortable spot, a seat, a hammock, or near a window to see outside if you cannot go there.
Have a glass of water at your side.
Cleanse, clear and release the energy from the day. Ground per your method.
CLOSE YOUR EYES.
Inhale for a count that you are comfortable with. (Four is the usual number for the Box Breathing Technique.)

Slowly exhale.
Pause – take a slow sip of water. Feel the coolness of its descent into the fire of your belly.
Inhale for a count of four again…

Slowly exhale
Pause – take a slow sip of water. Can you feel it?
Inhale for a third cycle of four…

Pause – take a slow sip of water.
After you employ this technique in the way MOST effective for you, Alpha state sets in. Shoulders relax. Jaw muscles relax. Brain idles, or close to idles. (If you have been practicing your meditations this past three months, you will feel the Alpha state turn on.)
Turn your Focus inward.
Look with your mind’s eye. See and FEEL the energy of Element Water flowing inside you. See it flowing through your feet, up your legs. Your spine. Feel it slowly rising through your chest, your heart, flowing out into your still, heavy arms and into your mind’s eye.
Focus on Water.
Greet Water.
Inwardly express your desire to FEEL the energy that you are a part of, that is always inside you.
What do you “see”? What color? What do you smell? Is there a taste? MAKE A MENTAL NOTE.
Describe your Experience with as many sensory details as you can to yourself. Speak the description aloud if you desire.
When you feel you have Experienced Water, smile in gratitude – on the inside IF that is more comfortable.
Befin to watch in your mind’s eye — the energy beginning to flow back down through your body, draining from your arms. Their feeling lighter as the energy leaves them. Through your chest. Your heart. Down through your legs and out through your feet.
While this Experience is fresh with you, write it down in your Journal or Book of Shadows.
You are now acquainted with the essence of the Energy of Water.
This is an energy that is always inside of you and that you can call on in any time of need.
Element Water calms. It puts out fires. It can aid you in many ways from Healing Magick to Soothsaying. Keep in mind that water can boil to evaporation … never allow your emotions to go that far. If you see someone else “evaporating” to something like “Anger” from Element Fire, send forth some of your spiritual Water to “cool” them.
As we are parting ways with Water, show gratitude to the Energy/Spirit of Water as you see fit while you close this exercise.
Finish your glass of water, contemplating the presence of the Element Water in your life OR give the Water to a plant, thanking the Water for sharing its Knowledge with you.

Beginning Psychic Work
Water Wall
With this visualization, you are going to experiment with your psychic strength and ability. Strengthening that “muscle” is something we do continuously as walk from our First Degree in Wahya Circle to our Third Degree in Yona Circle. Again, if you have been practicing with your meditations and energy explorations, this typically is completed without too much effort.
Please note that while many of our Lessons are in written format, you may personally record them for private use or for playback at a later time for your continued practice. (Example: Record yourself reading the Lesson.) We are making our way through to create audio files for these Lessons.
TRY ME
The next time you are in a space, your home, a store, a crowded place, if you have been practicing with this — you are going to clear energy and/or people out of your way with the Element technique you MOST align with. Few Practitioners can make all of them work. And, this does not always work the first time, but with continued practice, it becomes a VERY effective tool of magick.
TO BEGIN
Call upon Element Water to assist you.
Tell Element Water what your Intent is.
Have something representative of Water if need be, to aid in your Intented FOCUS.
Take the space you are in into your mind’s eye.
See the boundaries, the floors, ceiling, walls. Or, if outside, a tree, a trashcan, a stage, etc. See some boundaries that leave an open spot AWAY from you, an “exit” if you will. Look with your eyes of Matter first, close them if you can to recollect what you perceived. If you cannot, Consciously think about what you see.
ENVISION
Now, in your mind’s eye, see a giant wall of living water at one end of your chosen space, opposite of your predetermined “exit” point. See that wall of Water start slowly closing up behind or around those you wish to move away and out of the exit.
See it closing the space, making it smaller and smaller towards the exit, washing over the individuals or energies that choose not to move and listen to their inner voices and sight. They will feel it.
You are essentially, through psychic thought, “washing them away” with a wall of Water.
Do this slowly and Intently.
Move the Water Wall a few feet at a time. SLOWLY. Refocus. Move it a few feet more. SLOWLY. Refocus. Project the feeling of “need to escape” on what you are attempting or practicing to move. (This latter part is often forgotten and the Water Wall becomes ineffectual.)
Once you are satisfied that it is done or you do not feel you can do much more, thank Water for assisting you. This technique may take several attempts to begin to master. Keep at it. This is a very powerful, useful tool to have as a Practitioner.
