World Studies 101
Egypt - Aten

Amenhotep IV changed his name to Akhenaten and defied tradition by establishing a new religion that believed that there is but one god; the Sun God Aten. Sound familiar? By the time Akhenaten took the throne, his family had been ruling Egypt for nearly two hundred years and had established a huge empire dominating Palestine, Phoenicia, and Nubia.

Over romanticized by many, we will put aside that saturation to digest a story out of Egypt that not many take their time with. A wonderful six part presentation, it divulges some divine magick in spirituality. Listen with an open mind. Can you hear where “other” Paths may have been influenced?


Take these small bites. Go slowly and digest the information. Each segment is only a few minutes long but in most segments, dare we say every segment, many of you will learn, hear, or see something you have never heard before.

Explore these videos. There is much contemplation to be had. Remember, Egypt is the root of Paths such as Hermeticism and some Wiccan practices.
