Pendulum Tuning Chakras
If you have never done this pendulum practicum before, it is advised to try it at least once to see if this is a tool you can incorporate into your personal practices. This technique works VERY WELL for most Practitioners. Especially amongst those versed in the deeper Works of hte Third Degree as found throughout varied courses of Medicine & Magick. With that stated, it is believed that the BEST place to perform this “tune up” is ideally somewhere private and quiet outside that you can lay down safely, and preferably on the ground undisturbed. Right behind that is in your Sacred Space. REsults with vary between the two places.
For the record, you can find plenty of examples of this technique on the interwebz, but it is best to experiment and find what works for YOU and your specific pendulum. Some Practitioners have a very personal relationship with their pendulum, such as different significators for answers. Those presented here are a simplification for your beginning steps.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Because a pendulum acts as an amplifier for ALL energies, it is ideal in the beginning to sense our chakras first and the energy they produce. Fortunately, this is a practice that Third Degree Practitioners are well versed in. Learning how this energy shows itself to us through our pendulum and its swing can give inordinate amounts of information to cleanse or heal them when Working our Medicine or Self Healing especially.
CLEANSE. CLEAR. GROUND.
You. Your pendulum.
(If you do not have a true to form pendulum, anything on a chain or string that swings freely can be used. #Necklace)
Please keep in mind that these energy points, or chakras, constantly adjust themselves as they go through different phases of opening and closing - adjusting and realigning to the overall body's ever-changing energy flows naturally through every moment of EVERY DAY. It reacts to the world around it in Spirit. Sometimes if our energy points are running on auto, we could be “splling energy” and not know. Just as in Matter our bodies will work in a state of compensation too. We can easily deplete ourselves of energy we need if we are not mindful of this. The Universal contact points, that all beings have — Plant and Animal alike exist to help give us, or will try to, the energy we need to perform the Experiences of our lives.
Keeping up with how our “points” are doing is just as important as an engine check on our car. We know that if our engine is misfiring or a tire is flat, the vehicle will not go.
While an open chakra is mostly ideal, a closed chakra is not necessarily bad either. Balance for our energetic needs is ideal. Sometimes it is protecting us. It is a function of the body's natural energy system to vary the energy that flows through these energetic vortices. There are times when a closed chakra is necessary to the overall health of the individual as it processes internal and external issues related to that chakra as well. Closing that energy point when “ill” or “dis-eased” will give it time to heal. But also, closing a point closes off the ability for others to help, or further hurt us. A closed point blocks Healing Medicine that has been done and prevents it from being fully received. It also stops external forces from causing illness, such as that of an external sourceuch as an ill relative, spiteful neighbor or boss, living near power lines, a nuclear power plant or coal facility, high amounts of EMF, etc. Yes, most animals have “ideal” living conditions. It serves to remember that we effect the conditions of everything around us too.
TUNING UP
There are many different ways to use a pendulum to check the status of our energy points, or chakras. It’s up to each of us, the Practitioners, to find the method that works best.
Here are some simple methods to try!
CHOOSE ONE
1. Got a Friend?
This first method requires the assistance of another Practitioner or trusted individual. For this task we will need a pendulum (it does not need to be programmed) and a friend. Before beginning, be sure to state the source of your pendulum's answers. (How the answers are to be given.) To obtain a good reading, it is ESSENTIAL that you BOTH first CLEANSE. CLEAR. GROUND.
Lie down on your back and have the other person hold a pendulum a few inches above your body at each chakra location. (You must each agree on this prior to starting.) Systematically write down the direction and size of the pendulum swing for each chakra as it is passed.
Turn over and repeat.
Then, compare the two sets of readings for front and back. Look for differences in each chakra. Compare the swing size and look for differences there. A large swing means more energy is propelling it. A small swing, less energy. Ideally, each chakra will be "open" and produce a swing of approximately the same size for all of them. More likely, however, there will be some slight to significant differences among the various chakras, front and back. Identifying these that can help you pinpoint imbalances or blockages. Now that you are aware, you will want to address them.
Please see the table for the examples you may see.
2. Use a Proxy
This is an entirely different way to analyze your chakras. This task requires a pendulum (does not need to be programmed) and a color printout of the symbols for each chakra as you understand them. Use your own printer to print this page - or at least the part that contains the chakra symbols shown here, L to R, Crown to Root … OR DRAW THEM!
Before beginning, be sure to state the source of your pendulum's answers. In this method, the printed page of chakra symbols becomes a proxy for your own body. Your guides and Higher Self can step in to assist. (Sometimes Ancestors will.) Lay printed page on a desk, table, or solid surface. Quiet your mind and hold your pendulum per your method above each chakra symbol. As you do, try to close your eyes and visualize the specific area on your own body that corresponds to the chakra symbol. (Do not visualize what you think the pendulum should say though, that is “projecting” and will cause false readings.)
Record your readings and use the table above to interpret your results.
3. Use a Chart
Our final suggested method is to use a Chakra Pendulum Chart – as shown below. For this task you just need a pendulum (does not need to be programmed) and a chart. Before beginning, be sure to state the source of your pendulum's answers.
Consider drawing your own on a blank piece of paper- using the chart seen here as a guide.
How to use chart: Lay the chart on a flat surface and hold your pendulum over the area at the center of the chart (where the pointer indicates). Ask your pendulum to identify specific states or energy levels.
For example you may ask, “show me which chakra has the highest energy today." Or, "show me which chakra needs attention most right now." You can even ask specific questions designed to help narrow down issues that you may already be aware of. For instance, if you are feeling anxious, you could ask, "Which chakra is contributing to my sense of anxiety today?" Then study the attributes of that chakra (as listed on the chart) to see if you can focus in on the problem.
Phrasing your questions so that the pendulum can answer clearly is a very important step. This is where having that established relationship with your divining tools can work with you. In other words, if you generally asked, "How are my chakras?" over this chart, your pendulum will not be able to answer because the question is too vague. A better way to phrase it is, "Show me which chakras are open" or "Show me which chakras are closed". You would then see the pendulum as it swings directionally over the various wedges on the chart. Watch as it swings directionally through each wedge that fits the answer to your question. If only a few chakras are in open, the pendulum will swing through those and then may stop, or it may return to the first one indicated. If it swings in a clockwise circle, this indicates all chakras. Counter-clockwise indicates no chakras. Pay attention to that!
