Gnosis

How we each reach our personal states of gnosis varies with each purpose. There are no tow methods that are exactly the same and by the Third Degree of any metaphysical undertaking, most Practitioners are well acquainted with it. Today we are going to briefly discuss “ecstatic practices” in personal use.


ECSTATIC PRACTICES
Ecstatic gnosis describes a mindlessness reached through intense arousal. It is aimed to be reached through sexual excitation, intense emotions, flagellation, dance, drumming, chanting, sensory overload, hyperventilation and the use of disinhibitory or hallucinogenic Plant Allies as seen in ayahuasca or something to the like. The gnostic state is then utilized to bypass the "filter" of the conscious mind and it’s unknown biases. This is something thought to be necessary for working most forms of Deep Magick and Spirit Medicine and is especially found in Chaos Magick.

As stated, even if using the “same” method, no two Practitioners will achieve gnosis in the same way, degree, state, etc.

Today we ask ourselves HOW we reach gnosis and is it continuing to work for us?

Gnosis is not typically accomplished by meditation to the Alpha-state alone, so, what is your current chosen method? Have you explored other methods? Does the Path you walk dictate are particular method? What are your thoughts on gnostic states? Have you netted any positive results in exploring these gnostic states with your Magick or Medicine?

These are questions we are wise to ask ourselves as both Medicine and Magick can often go hand in hand with magickal ritual and ceremony, adding to the energy raised with that cone of power…. especially if done in a gnostic state.
