Totem Magick

A totem (from Anishanaabe: ᑑᑌᒼ or ᑑᑌᒻ doodem) is a Spirit Being such as the ones that are perceived to exist in trees, rocks, various natural Allies, sacred objects, or symbols that serve as an emblem of Magick, energy. It is especially in a group of people, such as a family, clan, lineage, or tribe, as in the Anishinaabe clan system. This was inspired in turn for us by our study of what a neirika is to the Huichol Tribes during Wahya Circle, too.

For the purpose of this Journey, and this Magick or Medicine, Golanv Circle is utilizing their creations “as a Spirit Being, sacred object, or symbol” of Element Earth. Do you still have yours safe somewhere?

For today’s Work, you are asked to imbue your guided creation with Energy from Element Earth. A recharge. Element Earth assists us with everything from ambition to grounding. When we look at Element Earth, it is also a bringer of nurturing and seeks to draw all things together with itself, in order to bring harmony, rootedness and stability. Other attributes of the earth element include stubbornness, responsibility and long-term planning. (Think about the Earth Element Zodiac signs, too.) Its negative emotion is worry and its positive emotion is happiness. Grounding with Earth can protect against the collection of those negative energies. We are also wise to transmute with our magick!

You are asked to create a simple Work with your recently created Totem and Element Earth. You are going to ask Element Earth to allow your Totem, created of meditative mind and pure Intent of heart, to imbue the Totem you created with one of its metaphysical attributes.

You may proceed with this per your chosen Path, arriving at the result above.
