A Further Adventure in Magickal Ethics: Groups

Your Third Degree required Craft is presented to you each just as before. Each Practitioner has the same trusted correspondences from past Lessons and articles, as well as their individual Books of Shadows and personal practices to pull Knowledge from. We have also given links to pages we trust here at 3CMM including a link to the previous Craft page.

This week we will begin Crafting our Group Ritual, required Spell III. If you have not thought of your ideas to present your Practitioner Group, please do so BEFORE YOUR FIRST MEETING together in order to have something to bring to the table with them.

The guidelines are as follows:

COMMUNICATION COUNTS
It is essential that you communicate with your Practitioner Group. Your ability to communicate with another Practitioner in a group dynamic will effect the outcome of this Magick or Medicine. It will be completely evident if you do not fulfill this energetic requirement. You are expected to communicate with WEEKLY regularity and as needed to address any issues that may arise. We caution you to go with your own personal Intuition together for this Work before reaching out to the school for resolution to an impass.

Parameters

This Group Ritual DOES NOT have to be Path specific. It can be anything from a Healing Ritual to a Shadow Rite for Samhain. It can even be a Ritual related to Ancestor Veneration or the calling of an Animal Ally for the Autumn season. THE GROUP must decide on what is most needed collectively for all.

EACH PRACTITIONER MUST:
Make a contribution to Crafting the Ritual

Have a spoken part

Have a Magickal or Medicinal item present to utilize, up to and including one’s personal altar space.

ALL MEMBERS of the group must have the SAME INTENT.

Spell III - Ritual Completion

The group can agree to segway the Ritual after a Lesson presentation at a Moot or schedule it separately. The GROUP MUST DECIDE TOGETHER. The Ritual is to take a MINIMUM OF 15 minutes and a MAXIMUM of 30 minutes to complete.

GROUP RITUAL - SPELL III WRITE UP
IS DUE ON LAST SUNDAY OF OCTOBER
BEFORE MIDNIGHT.

SUBMIT

PICTURES
Each Practitioner is to submit a MINIMUM OF TWO pictures of the items utilized for Ritual. ONE from inception to ONE from performance.

WRITE-UP
Each Practitioner is to submit their individual write ups that answer the questions as listed above, INCLUDING who suggested each item and why.

If it is mutually decided to skip a category, such as Calling Quarters/Corners/Directions, please tell why in your write up. *Intuition is KEY!

ALL Practitioners are to submit a write up related to their individual or mutually decided parts. For video shares please use a cloud based application like Google Docs and provide 3CMM with a link and permissions to view video.

You get out of Magick and Medicine that which you put in.

LESSONS FOR GOLANV

This was not unlike the Experience you attained through creating a Lesson, or improving upon a Lesson, for Wahya Circle in your previous Walk. Now having written and submitted the Lesson, now you determine how to present the Lesson you have created to the group dynamic.

PARAMETERS
MINIMUM - MAXIMUM
The Lesson can be the MINIMUM of a 30 minute presentation up to 1 hour. While some have already scheduled this Moot, not everyone has presented as of this rubric. Those who have already done so have reached out for personal guidance from 3CMM. You may do the same for your Lesson presentation. This presentation can include anything from a Group Crafts, Altar Setups, and Demonstration all the way to Tincture creations. Each MUST be presented WITH THE LESSON IN MIND. aligning with it and answering questions from it if they arise. If you Lesson has not been seen by Golanv as of yet, as some have not, yo may email a .pdf copy of your Lesson ahead of time to the attending Practitioners with the caveat that the Lesson has not appeared yet but a presentation is nigh.

PICTURES, SUPPLIES, RESOURCES
There must be a MINIMUM of THREE PICTURES from the Lesson to the MAXIMUM of a live camera feed and one’s ability to provide resource materials to each attending Practitioner of the online presentation. (Each Practitioner has been sent an updated Practitioner Directory for 2024)

OBJECTIVE (SHORT TERM)
What is the objective of your Lesson presentation? What are you teaching or sharing with Practitioners? Simply stated, what is your short-term, or immediate goal for the Practitioner after reading your Lesson?
EXAMPLE:
”Practitioner will be capable of explaining what a sigil is and what it is used for.”
OR
”Practitioner will be able to Craft a personal sigil.

PURPOSE
What is the purpose of sharing this Lesson? What is your long-term meaningful reason?
EXAMPLE:
”Practitioner will reach fullest potential as a diviner with knowledge of this tool.” (Tarot)
OR
”Practitioner will elevate Magickal abilities with knowledge of Sigil Craft”.

RESOURCES
Resources are always welcomed to be added to further a Practitioner’s research. Please vet these resources to ensure they come from secure sites or do not phish for data.

As we work with Wikipedia and vet most resources cited there, it is a permissible link.

QUESTIONS
Please allow time in your presentation for Practitioner questions and discussions. As the Presenter, you will be leading the Moot.

A FEW POINTERS
Strive to make an engaging Lesson Presentation for a variety of Practitioners of varying backgrounds. Keep in mind the Lessons in Ethics in Magick you have studied in both Wahya and Golanv Circles.

Keep in mind the time requirements for each aspect of the Lesson Presentation. Ask yourself, can this Daily Lesson be presented in 30 minutes or less, will it take an hour?

Add specific activities that can be done if questions are not appropriate, like “Moon watching” or “Venus finding” to supplement your materials to make it relevant.

Give thought to the Lesson in how to make it stand out from others that may be covering the same topic.  For example:  Moon Magick did not cover “the moon is always there, even when you cannot see Her”.  (Sure it did, but for example)

Determine how best to gauge the Practitioner’s absorption of the material presented. The method can be questions – answer or open ended personal responses.  #Thoughts

Good luck! Happy Crafting!
Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

RESOURCES FOR YONA PRACTITIONERS

We strive to bring this level of Teaching Magick to everyone. They have had a very long time to explore teaching in the mundane, now we create our Magickal WITH YOUR HELP. We are creating the bar. Here is a simple video to give some basic ideas to bring to the Esoteric world we live in. ;-)

*You should already be seeing these things posted in some Lessons. There will continue to be more and more. While we will not have “rules” per se in teaching the esoteric, we gain a better understanding of how to best teach and ethically share Knowledge with others.

Things to keep in mind (video). (There are NO “wrong” answers.)

Don’t rush this. Think about it. This is for your Third Degree.
