Awakening the “Sleep Walker”
Subdued Personalities - Blinded by Shadow
When considering those in this stage of their Journey through Consciousness; to aid in Medicine or Magick; to assist with a house blessing, or to simply celebrate a Sabbat in Ritual, attempt to ACTIVATE THEM FIRST. It serves the energy of ALL for the purpose best if all who are participating are clear. Again, ALL. (Unless doing a public ritual, then it is up to the Celebrant to Protect/Shield/Ward Self from the crowd’s energy.)
The way we understand this activation is through words and actions of positive reinforcement as well as helping another feel “secure”. That may be as complex as “do they trust me” to as simple as “who is going to be there”? What is causing this person to choose to remain asleep in their lives is difficult to know sometimes and it benefits us to keep that in mind when working with Sleep Walkers. . (Are they being abused, unresolved Shadow, etc.)
To begin, here are some things to consider with Monad/Stream Three Beings:
If there is a trusting relationship with them, questions similar to these can be asked in a NON-CONFRONTATIONAL manner if it is decided to bring them closer into the Journey: (These questions may be asked in YOUR words or something similar.) Some Practitioners know the other person well enough they can answer the questions for themselves.
“Do they often feel insecure?”
“Do they have trouble setting boundaries with people?”
“Do they consider themselves a “people pleaser?”
“Do they constantly seek approval from others?” (Such as you)
These can all be red flags when working with others who may be in our circles of Magick or Mundane.
Provocative Personalities - Bloated with Unhealthy Ego
On the other hand, maybe they have an overly domineering personality. Then these aspects can sometimes be delicately addressed with Ego Work, if they too can see the issues. Other points to ponder before setting up a Ritual, or house blessing, with another:
“Do they find themselves bullying others?”
”Do they find themselves gossiping about the flaws of others?”
”Do they find themselves having to have ‘the last word’ in heated discussions or arguments?” (Do they have to ‘win’?)
“Do they tend to manipulate people to get what they want?”
This by far is one of the harsher traits of the Third Monad. To avoid this action, have clearly set and defined boundaries to head off conflict with this personality type. In some cases, contracts, emails and getting things “on tape” are beneficial for this. As of late, it has been found that texting and “group chats” are aligning more with social media standards of emboldening, whereas private communications such as contracts and emails with clear statements leave no room for this. #GetTape #Contracts #Email These acts maintain a level of professionalism over personality when trouble may arise for Practitioner Clerics.
Example - House Blessings
There is a house blessings on Saturday, so, Reverend Richoz will send out an email to all participants with ALL of the pertinent information a few days beofre and set a calendar reminder for participants the day of. Time. Date. Place. (Not disclosed immediately if contracts are not signed for privacy.) Riual or blessing plan. Who is responsible for what. etc.
Waking the Sleep Walker - Will They Wake?
You may already know the answers to these questions if this person is close, or in the same social circle. If we ourselves are fine tuned to our own Inner Voices, we can determine with a little probing if someone is going to “wake” or not. If they are going to drink from the Water of Knowledge that we have led them to. To encourage this, consider developing a task for the group that addresses these questions. Taking the light off of the one individual as everyone is Journeying as a group to explore may actually be more beneficial to all. Something relatively simple to consider is that the answers to these questions for some Practitioners rather points to an imbalanced solar plexus chakra for example. Healing the Third Chakra will improve self-esteem, release the need to control others, and restore a sense of purpose to everyone, not just the one who may need it most.
Yona Circle Cleric Teacher Task
This is your task today — AWAKENING OTHERS
Design a group Work that brings this to the surface for these individuals, facing a truth, shining a light, together. It can be related to Shadow, Ego, or Soul Work. If you are not a member of a specific group, or the group would be put off by such Work coming from you, consider those who walk Yona Circle as your Home Group and design a Work to benefit the group.
Examples: Ritual bath/shower. Glass of Water. Water scrying. IF the individual is not Awake.
IF they are Awake, a Fire Meditation may clarify their sight. (All of these were attempted in Wahya Circle.)
Other things to consider:
LOCATION OF THIRD CHAKRA
Name in Sanskrit: Manipura meaning “lustrous gem”
Location: In the abdomen above the belly button up to the breastbone (on spine side), below the Heart.
Color: Yellow
Element: Fire
Signs of balance: Confident, motivated, purposeful, reliable, responsible
Signs of imbalance: Aggression, overly dominating toward others, low self-esteem (Low Self- esteem causes depression, chronic depression causes anger in many. See the cycle?) Passive-aggressive behaviors and manipulation.
Because this chakra is aligned with Element Fire, we find that Element Water is good to call on to assist in quenching this imbalance and healing it. Right behind that is Element Earth. (Earthing is good.) Maybe consider a group walk in a park barefoot or a group walk on the beach barefoot. Being in contact with Earth, “skin to skin” with Mother Earth is very important. Even things as simple as one’s “posture” can be considered in healing this chakra.
We ARE ALL capable of traveling back through these Streams of Consciousness for various reason, from Shadow and Healing to Trauma. No matter teh reason, it is always good to STAY AWAKE!
Happy Crafting!
