Comparative Practices 102
Elemental Power
Below you will find a recommended book (as well as a link to the .pdf) to enhance your Magickal and Medicinal practices. It is Craft that has passed down through many Earth Based Paths, including Wiccan Paths. Within this book there are dozens of simple yet effective methods of utilizing the power of the Elements called upon and into your Intent and service. From hurting to healing, it can all be done.
The thing to keep in mind when looking at ANY spell is asking Self, ‘how I can make it my own’. Take for example an Earth Protection Spell. The spell calls for you to place pure soil from your land into a bottle and place it by an entrance with the Intent of Protection. You can ‘make it your own’ by not only gathering soil from your land but also a place that you hold sacred, such as a local river, and placing that container of your choosing by the entrance of your home. Make it your own, or specific to you.
Another example we like to share is a Sea Spell. For many it is meant to be used with a body of water outside such as a lake, a river, or even the ocean. You take a bucket made with a particular metal, or in a specific color, conducive to your Intent, You then do repetitions of scooping up water and then pouring it back into the same body of water saying words such as, “I return to you what is yours, return to me what is mine.” This can be done for lost things, safe travels, etc. A way to make it yours would be to fill a sink with water. Unplug the stopper and as the sink drains scoop the water with your Intented item repeating the words of your Intent to the draining sink. This is VERY powerful Work.
With Craft such as this, one must remember:
“The Ocean accepts all Rivers.”
