Seeding the Mind

As we have learned, gematria is the alphanumeric code of assigning a numerical value to a name, word or phrase according to its letters. Knowing these Kabbalistic values can deepen your Craft. Having such an encoding on any written content grants the power of “secrecy” to all Practitioners. “To Keep Silent” often comes to mind for many Paths.

In this Lesson, we continue our “secret works” and look deeper at sigils — but through a more modern lens. This particular type of sigilizing is what most people do without ever realizing they are doing anything because, quite frankly, energy flows through ALL THINGS in the Universe. ‘Undisturbed’ by outside influence, Will, it continue to flow as the Universe seeks eternal energetic balance. We find these Practitioners often mindlessly “doodle”. That “doodle” regardless of its shape or form is inherently tied to the thought that the Practitioner was having as they drew it. We want to begin to doodle with Intent.

The next form we can utilize in our Sigil Craft, GNOSIS.

By the time we are this far into Golanv Circle™, especially if Wahya Circle, First Degree was given an adequate amount of time for study, we have already touched on several basic methods for Sigilizing —a “doodle” or piece of “art” , or any other Craft, deconstructing it.

Just as a Practitioner can deconstruct a phrase to the word, then the word to the letter (by marking out all vowels, etc), finally breaking apart each letter by each stroke of its lines. Then this method can construct/deconstruct any picture or word.

Remember, a sigil can be anything we want it to be. The more personal it is to us, the more powerful it is. Imagine utilizing the Ogham!

Sigil Magick seeks to implant or embed directions and/or desires into the deepest part of our mind in a way that goes unoticed/unopposed by the rational/discursive mind. The conscious mind is where negative “self talk” can thwart your works in Sigilization.

A key that every Practitioner who practices this form of Craft  is wise to remember for any type of sigil work, word, picture, etc is to state it in the AFFIRMATIVE for their Willed Intent.

Ex: “I will have the promotion to Chief at work.”

BEST STATED: “I am Chief at work.” (See yourself already there.)

If Sigil Work is expressed correctly to the subconscious mind in a clear and concise way, the Self will begin to exude or manifest traits for it. These nuances can help Work and bring desired outcome closer.

Sigilize and make the “seed” in the mind. Then use any one of the methods, such as those mentioned below, to “charge” the seed with the desired Intent, Energy, etc. (You can even write your phrase in Ogham equivalent ‘code’!)

Ready to charge your Sigil?

1.   Gaze at the Sigil while participating in a pleasurable activity. (Many Chaos Magi use sex.)
SEX IS A CHARGE.

2.   Gaze at the Sigil and cause yourself pain. (Hand over candle, hot wax on hand, etc)
PAIN IS A CHARGE.

3.   Gaze at the Sigil and hold your breath as long as you can SAFELY. (This brings about a Gnostic state for many.)

4.   Strongly visualize being promoted and see Self already in the position, at the event, owning the item, etc. Then visualize the Sigil. See both and let them go.

5.   Strongly visualize making someone you love very happy and then visualize the Sigil and let the thought go.

6.   Combine any or all of the above. The more contradictory the methods, the better.

7.   Meditate to vacuity, and when vacuous, Consciously visualize the Sigil. This takes practice, but can be accomplished.

8.    PHYSICALLY PLANT A SEED! (The seeds growth is the firing of the sigil.)

 As always, once you do this Work, you “forget” about it on some Paths and do not on others. It is your choice. The picture/letter does NOT typically sit out for you to stare out (or for others) and think about —UNLESS THAT IS YOUR INTENT. Otherwise, “a watched cauldron never boils.” “If you love something, set it free.” On and on, there are phrases in our culture, our human culture, that speak to this lost Art.

A final note to keep in mind, utilizing “Witches Wheels” or pre-made number squares from across the internet do not provide sufficient “secrecy” most times if used. Many well versed Practitioners can read those quite easily. Using other known languages do not protect it either, not even Theban. The only secret is the one you make with yourself. That may be a power that is necessary to consider depending on the Work at hand.
